Having a trip along “The roads of Steiermark castles” means to find yourselves in a fairy-tale! The palaces and fortresses of the Middle Ages which have survived to our times invite you to have a trip to the past. The fascinating stories will accompany you all along.
We will see three totally different castles, one of which is still a property of a count family. It is located on the territory of the oldest menagerie of Europe. An excursion to the internal rooms of the count castle will be interesting and informative. You will have an opportunity to see the charming farms which are a real fruit paradise, famous “Apple Road” and take part in sampling of national schnapps and liqueurs. This great picture will impress you.
The terminal point of our excursion is located in the second largest city of Austria. It is Graz whose historical center is protected by UNESCO. We will walk in its ancient small streets and glance in fantastic yards of the Middle Ages, see a tomb of an emperor and enjoy beauty of “a pearl of the early Renaissance of Austria” Landhaus. The Schlosberg Mountain will give us an opportunity to see the fascinating panorama of the whole Graz from the bird's eye view. This mountain is located in the downtown.
The group is met in Hartberg by a Russian-speaking guide who will make a 7th hour tour. An dinner stop can be made on request of the group in Graz or in the shopping center “Interspar” where everyone can make a lunch for himself. If guests want to have some free time (possibly for shopping) they can stay in Graz for one hour after the excursion. Desirable time of departure from Vienna is at 8:00 then meeting with the guide in Hartberg in 9:30 and departure from Graz (without free time) at 17:00.
